Team

Outdoor living, designed
Our collective experience across diverse regions, combined with our team’s individual expertise, forms the foundation of our work.
This breadth of knowledge allows us to offer a comprehensive design and planning service that extends beyond plants and nature to include architecture, outdoor furniture, pools, lighting, and every other element that enhances outdoor living.
Filippo Dimatteo – Principal
Filippo Dimatteo is a self-taught garden designer—almost by chance. Raised in the lush landscapes of Basilicata, Southern Italy, he moved to Mallorca in 2015, bringing with him a lifelong passion for nature, botany, and gardening. His skills were first cultivated on his family’s farm, where he developed an instinctive understanding of plants and landscapes.
A true plantsman, Filippo’s designs are driven by experimentation, continually exploring new species and plant combinations. His knowledge, rooted in direct experience rather than formal study, is complemented by a deep appreciation for practical solutions and enduring beauty.
Over the years, he has completed a diverse range of projects, each unique in its style and execution. His work is enriched by a strong local network of skilled artisans, suppliers, and collaborators.
Matteo La Civita – Landscape Designer, Civil Engineer
Originally from Gorizia in northeast Italy, Matteo grew up in a region where cultures, climates, and landscapes intersect, shaping his understanding of dynamic environments.
After studying architecture at the Technische Universität in Vienna, he earned a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Trieste, followed by a Master’s in Landscape Design from the University of Turin in 2004.
In 2005, he relocated to London, where he completed an internship at Kew Gardens before joining prestigious firms such as Bradley-Hole Schoenaich and Trees Associates.
Mirko Melis – Landscape Architect
Mirko Melis is a qualified landscape architect and civil engineer with a specialisation in green design and garden restoration. His professional journey has been shaped by a broad spectrum of creative disciplines, from painting to digital visualisation.
With a strong foundation in both restoration and landscape architecture, Mirko approaches garden design not only as an act of conservation but as an opportunity for creative reimagining. He believes in honouring the historical and artistic integrity of landscapes while adapting them for contemporary and future use.
